This month we welcome Adam E Holton onto the show. A young English culture worker and writer, who recently started working for die Bäckerei team back in September 2020. We discuss his previous and present involvement with die Bäckerei, as well as the concepts, ideas and motivations behind his house formats — die Bäckerei Storytelling Nights and die Bäckerei Speed Dating Night.
The shows host BAIBA and Adam will also discuss his upcoming novel — «The First Juniper Tree» set to be ready by mid december. He explains the process of self-publishing, getting help from friends and the inspiration behind the book.
Exclusive: Adam will read the opening from the novel, and the poem ‘One Almost Might’ by A.S.J. Teasimond which was one of the biggest sources of inspiration to the novel and his life as a storyteller. We will also hear a track called ‘Lilac Iris by Hieronymus Peach’ which was created by one of the novel’s central characters. Yes, a book with music…
Special feature: We are happy to introduce and share a fragment of the radio play ‘Bacon Knees and Sausage Fingers’ created by Steve Byron and Gary Kitching that began its life at Alphabetti Theatre — Adam’s home before he moved to Innsbruck.
