Lee Anne Schmitt is an artist and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She discusses her latest work, Evidence, an essay film. The film is centered around the broad impact of the Olin Corporation on US- American politics and society. We are taken along a journey of research looking at the Olin family foundation, the funding of conservative think-tanks, and their systematic influence within the judicial system of the USA. As the the film grapples with this external theme it also looks inward evoking memories of Schmitt’s family, childhood, and motherhood.
