Today, Sweet Travels wants to get closer to India through music. We will listen to meditation music together. Chanting, Mantras, Kirtan – to bring or keep balance in our lives.
The first fifteen minutes, we start with „Om Nama Shivaya“, performed by Krishna Das. After that, the „Gāyatrī Mantra“ will follow for around 40 minutes. This mantra is dedicated to Savitri, the deity of the five elements. The „Gāyatrī Mantra“ is an important part of the Uanayana ceremony for young males in Hinduism. Modern Hindu reform movements spread the practice of the mantra to include women and all castes.
Sweet Travels today is enriched with thoughts of Mischa from his time in an Ashram in Rishikesh, in the northern part of the country: Rishikesh, on the foot of the mountains and on the Ganges River. He thinks that meditation offers opportunities to deal with yourself and with your own life issues. Meditation brings other perspectives, thoughts and solutions for everyday life. But spirituality is a lifelong journey, and what an ashram can offer is only as great as what we are ready to realize through ourselves.
