The University of Tsukuba from Japan, was one of the guest at the Ars Electronica Festivals this year. As part of the Campus Exhibition it featured not only current students work but also 26 exemplary works that illustrate 30 years of innovative design fusing Art and engineering technologies since it was created in 1975. With a number of demonstrations during the festival, visitors could get a closer look at some of the works created. The Robot Mask was one of them.

The Robot Mask is a device to support and enhance the expressiveness of the face by using robotics and biomedical technologies and was created by Dushyantha Jayatilake, Anna Gruebler, Kenji Suzuki.

In this audio you can hear how it works.
