continuing on our journey deeper into the Yoga Sutras, arriving at 1.43 today as Patanjali divides samadhi into many layers. First he talks about savitarka samadhi (which we tackled in last week’s show). It means samadhi with reasoning. You are still a reasoning person, logical. Then he calls second samadhi nirvitarka (introduced in today’s sutra), samadhi without reasoning. Now, you are not arguing about reality. You are not even looking at reality with your knowledge. You are simply looking at reality.
Interesting deep dive stuff, to say the least. And as George Harrison’s quote manifested itself in the intro of todays’ carfully curated playlist, it kind of sparked the interest to look into The Beatle’s time in India and their transcendental journeys, so buckle up with me here for yet another fabulous, mystical, magical time together, and as Hunter S. Thompson used to say, „buy the TICKET, take the ride”.
Yay,,, happy to have exactly you out there on this ride with me. I appreciate your companionship, friendship, our bond across the street, the country, the continent, oceans and universe.

Music is sound, vibrations, whereas paintings are vibrations of whatever you pick up. It’s not actually an energy vibration you get from a groovy painting, but music and sound seem to travel along vibrations, you know the whole thing with mantras is to repeat and repeat those sounds… it’s vibrations in everything like prayers and hymns.
