Malashree Suvedi is a 28 year old queer female writer, poet, artist & linguist from Kathmandu, Nepal who is currently based in Vienna. Having had lived in 5 different countries, her work explores space, time, and identity. According to her, her writing and art is always feminist. Malashree is fascinated by languages and the whole concept of language as a whole, and often tries to represent the symbolic and often times arbitrary nature of written language through her art.

In this episode we talk about her first novel that she is currently writing and the challenges and changes she faces while doing so. The conversation evolves around questions of ownership during writing, what is lost and won over time while working at a long-time project and why a queer-feminist perspective is fundamentally important for today’s literature.
