No More Violence Against Women; the podcast of the WAVE Network.
In this podcast WAVE voices are amplified to give insight on topics such as sexualised violence, online violence, femicides, violence against women with disabilities, youth activism, important legislation such as the Istanbul Convention, and more to highlight the different forms and dimensions of violence against women and girls. In the fourth episode, Dejana Dexi Stošić, first generation WAVE Youth Ambassador from Serbia, talks to us about her journey as a feminist activist and women’s human rights defender, shares what prompted her to create the hashtag #NisamPrijavila (#IDidntReport), which helped more than 20.000 women in Serbia to spread their stories of violence, assault and abuse online, and why it is needed to raise the voices of women and girls about the violence and harassment they experience.

The views and opinions expressed in this podcast are those of the speaker(s) and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or opinion / position of Women Against Violence Europe (WAVE).

Additional information: Dexi also mentioned that men were using #nisamprijavio to share their own experiences of (sexual) violence, which is, according her, the first time this has been done in Serbia. Nonetheless, WAVE stresses the majority of survivors of violence (such as sexual violence, intimate partner violence and assault) are women.
