COVERS!
Today in popular music, a cover version, cover song, remake, revival, or simply cover, is a NEW performance or recording by a musician other than the original performer or composer of that song.

COVERS! . . .So, like apples and oranges, the SAME but DIFFERENT! One either likes them or you pick-up the needle, FFD the deck, or casually turn the knob to a another station.
We will take a look at a few of those Artist that covered some of the Best Music out there. From ‘Teen Spirit’ to ‘Purple Rain’ to ‘Seven Nation Army’, singers that put it all on the line by doing there versions of Hits

TRUTH BE TOLD, THERE REMAINS THE EARLY FACT!
Covering a band or performer, literally meant covering the original song and hiding it from perspective music buyers. This is the darker side of the term cover song and is racial in nature. This was the case in the 50’s and 60’s when white artists would remake songs made popular by black artists. Many of the groups who where subjected to this and never received credit or royalty. Today we live in an ever developing world where one gets payed and acknowledged for the work they create, especially if its covered / sampled by another.
