Sadly Chris Bailey, leader of Australia´s groundbreaking proto punks The Saints, left us on April 9th, 2022.

Long one of DJ Mark David´s favorite artists, Chris brought us not only the world´s first punk rock song (the immortal I´m Stranded), and at least two touchstone albums in „(I´m) Stranded“ and „Eternally Yours“ but a full career of songs ranging from raging to poetic, the likes of which have been beloved as well as covered by artists such as Nick Cave, Henry Rollins, Bruce Springsteen and many more.

Chris Bailey was just 65.
