Urban Tribal Street-Dwellers in Bombay

Countless people live on the pavements of Indias mega-cities. In Bombay “Women on Air” talked to Indian social worker Sr. Rosamma George, who is working with one of the pavement communities of Central Mumbai. We asked her about surviving and everyday life on the streets and about the special challenges for women and girls of this tribal community, which migrated from Central-India to the West-Coast-metropolis Bombay.

With Indian tribal folk music.
