Two swindlers show up at an emperors court who spends lavishly at the expense of state matters. Posing as weavers, they offer to supply him with magnificent clothes that are invisible to those who are stupid or incompetent. The emperor hires them. When finished. They pretend to dress him and he sets off in a procession before the whole city. The townsfolk uncomfortably go alon,, not wanting to appear stupid, until a child blurts out that the emperor is wearing nothing at all. The people then realize that everyone has been fooled. Although startled, the emperor continues the procession, walking more proudly than ever.

This is the famous Plot of Hans Christian Andersen’s Fairy Tale the emperor’s new clothes

The story is about a situation where “no one believes, but everyone believes that everyone else believes.

Human tendency is to hide one’s own weaknesses and frailties. We tend to succumb to peer pressure. Humans also tend to accept set norms and precedents especially the one’s that come from authority figures. We as humans also fear appearing stupid or incompetent trying to challenge such norms and precedents. No one wants to risk appearing a fool, even more so in public.

Hans Christian Andersen brings out this behaviour about humans aptly and beautifully in this tale. It is a timeless classic and highly relevant even today.

The story further talks about a small boy in the crowd who does not follow the set norms of behaviour and in a very child-like manner declares that the emperor has no clothes on him. it takes child-like innocence combined with a fresh and open mind that is not biased by the worldly norms to boldly declare the truth.

Explains Bosco Peter, a freelance Tutor at OnLine and Quora  about How the relevancy of the story of “The Emperor’s New Clothes” today?

Lets try not to succumb to peer pressure just for the solidarity of it, and not just to accept set norms, lets be ok to look like fools, show up in child like innocence combined with a fresh and open mind that is not biased by the worldly norms

AND to boldly declare the truth….  This is VENUSfrequency a pop|culture way of the YOGA, MEDITATION, HOLISTIC BODY WISDOM and SOUL ARTistry lifestyle in support of a more mindful, co-creating, accepting, healing and loving world.

My favorite story to read and tell right now, as it is so current time -relevant and easy to understand its point… The emperors new clothes, Sutra 3.25 and a bit more of our monthlong appreciation of A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in this episode.
