Re-Frame Debut Film Festival Vienna is devoted to showing debut short films by up-and-coming FLINTA* filmmakers, and is organized by (ex)-volunteers of the European Solidarity Corps program at Stand129. The festival concentrates on low-budget independent projects (movies with a budget of under EUR 7,500) in order to offer a stage for creative experimentation and non-traditional narrative techniques.

On its first edition in 2023, the festival received more than 2500 submissions from all over the world, out of which we chose 13 remarkable films to show at Stand129. Several directors attended the festival and could discuss the themes of their movies and film-making processes in their countries.

For the second edition, the festival will not only expand internationally, but also will offer a bigger screening programme at Stand129.
