Part Two of our interview!
Los Angeles´ The Streetwalkin’ Cheetahs formed in 1995 swiping their name from Iggy & Stooges´ classic “Search & Destroy.”
Powered by the tireless Frank Meyer, who joins the Endless Summer radio show this month, with Dino Everett and Mike Sessa, plus Bruce Duff and Geoff Yeaton, these punk rock n rollers put out their first full length in 20 years last year, «One More Drink», along with a 7″ «Crazy Operator» and an EP «Call the Dogs» coming out in 2024. A Spanish tour also took place with some vinyl versions of previous albums coming up in time for Christmas. Whew!
The Cheetahs are well known for their take no prisoners high engergy rock and roll, but that´s just part of Frank´s story.
As if he wasn´t already punk enough, Frank also plays in legendary LA punks FEAR — yes, the band fronted by Lee Ving AND has a solo album coming out later this year. He´s also released a number of albums with people like Eddie Spaghetti of the Supersuckers, James Williamson, heavy metal legend Thor and many more.
In addition, dude has produced films like “Freestyle 101: Hip Hop History.” and written books about subjects like The Ramones. Double whew!
Tune in to the Endless Summer show to hear about ALL of Frank´s projects and what is coming up for this hard working DIY Californian!
