Our Geiwi Special episode is all about the Geiwi tower and the origins of the English and American departments. Featuring interviews with Professor Gerard Pisek, Dr Andrew Milne-Skinner, Dr Sonja Bahn, Mag. Hilde Wolfmeyer and Dr Kathrin Oberhofer, we piece together the history of our departments from their beginnings in the 80s to today. Amongst the many changes in the building and social spaces, one thing remains unchanged: the famous third-floor Coffee Room, a space with a history and a soul which constitutes a thread to the past and fosters a link to the future.
