January is such a threshold. VENUS currently is unseen, hidden behind the Sun.
In the yogic tradition, this is where practice begins — not with effort, but with ahimsa.
Gentleness. Non-violence. The decision to stop pushing life forward before we know what it is asking of us.
So we begin this year not by doing more, but by clearing the path.
By making space. By listening. By remembering that creativity, like the earth, needs rest in order to renew itself. This is the first offering of the year.
