New independent sounds from Austria – this edition of IndieRE comes from Radio Helsinki in Graz.

In this episode, radio host Lilly Vanilli guides you through a wide spectrum of current Austrian music: from feminist synth-punk, dreamy indie-pop and foggy dark wave to club-influenced jazz, experimental post-punk, raw hardcore and soft emotional collapse. Some of these artists are just releasing their first songs, others have already carved out their own distinctive corners of the Austrian underground. But all of them bring urgency, attitude and their own strange little worlds outside the mainstream.
