What do you dream about?
For IZRAA, the answer is clear: a FREE PALESTINE.
In this deeply emotional, powerful and tender conversation, we spoke about freedom, music, resistance, survival, rest, anger, forgiveness — and the choice to remain soft in a world that gives us so many reasons to become hard.
IZRAA spoke about surviving cancer and learning that rest is not something we need to earn, but something essential to being alive. She spoke about having a responsibility towards the life she was given — to create, to forgive, to accept, and to keep going.
She also spoke about trying anger and ignorance, and discovering something else: that the version of herself she wants to live is softer. To transform what hurts us into love. To choose softness.
And at the center of everything remains her fight for freedom — for Palestine, for her people, and for a world where people are free to live and be who they want to be.
IZRAA is a Vienna-based artist, musician and activist whose work moves between personal experience and political resistance, between pain and power, rebellion and radical love, and activist with roots in Palestine, Lebanon and Tunisia.
And there is more coming: IZRAA’s new EP will be released in November, and I am really looking forward to hearing it.
