World military expenditure reached almost $ 3 trillion in 2025, the biggest increases took place in Asia and the Pacific. This part of the world has experienced the reality of militarism and its aftermath for long – displacement of Indigenous communities, environmental damage and sexual violence against women. But there is also resistance, spearheaded by women.
