It’s pretty much rock’n’roll, all the time it’s rock’n’roll and this show is but one compilation of „new“ rock’n’roll-ers. The sheer melodicity makes me open the curtains, at least, if not the windows, let some light in. Even the mirror feels less heavy this way, it allows me feathers without necessarily having to be an angel, warts and all. Back when I was unemployed, I used to listen to this music on the way to the Public Employment Office.
Basically, it’s blues and rock’n’roll and a little bit of folk, so Eddie Vedder, Alice Phoebe Lou and Rachael & Vilray. Ezra Furman, the darling, I had the weird pleasure of seeing live and Nicole Atkins, the crooner, I hope to see live one day. Some other day, in a camping spot somewhere in Italy, late in the night, on the way to the toilet, I encountered three young girls singing „Tonight You Belong to Me„, with Eddie Vedder’s ukulele as a background on a cellphone, so I thought I’d make something out of it.
