Lately, I’ve been in the mood to vandalize or scandalize something, like an itch that makes me wish I had a bicycle if only to drive like a hooligan. I don’t know if it’s the protests in the States and everywhere, if it’s the angst and ennui of the constant pandemic restrictions, it just feels like getting things moving. At the same time, there’s hope coming along, reminiscent of ages of Aquarius and other barriers-breaking eras, childish as it may sound, it is a foot to grab onto and one can only hope it builds roots. I, for one, have always found protests a sign of hope, of resilience even, ’cause the opposite, not giving a damn, is much worse, there’s hope in pointing out the wrongness.
It’s a mix of “hippie” songs with a bunch of hip-hop and some Radiohead. Actually, the music is pretty predictable, but there’s some tracks there that I hadn’t listened to for a long time and found them quite refreshing and analogous to many repeated circumstances. I guess when the heart’s in the right place, the respective heart will pump the same old justified anger with every chord.
