Tonight we are talking about love, about love between PARROTS!! We are talking about spreading knowledge about autonomy and sustainable lifestyles to reduce poverty and exploitation. Why is it important to understand the relationship between humans and animals?

Great guests in Ženergija tonight Sarai Anaya Valera & Elisabeth Zeppetzauer, from Association for Mexican Parrots (Psitácidos mexicanos A.C.) https://psitamex.org/

We believe that through unified knowledge and participatory environmental education we can develop harmony and respect between humans and their natural environment. Together we can reach a great impact in safeguarding our natural environment as well as animal welfare and biodiversity.“ (Elisabeth Zeppetzauer)

Elisabeth Zeppetzauer studied biology at the University of Salzburg, Austria specializing in ethology, and did her diploma thesis about the social behavior of African grey parrots (Psittacus erithacus). She has worked with parrots in captivity doing rehabilitation and resocialization of former pet parrots in Austria for more than 10 years. From 2008 to 2011 Elisabeth was the director of the first parrot sanctuary in Austria which she founded together with Nadja Ziegler, president of the Parrot Protection Society Austria (ARGE Papageienschutz), before she went to Mexico to dedicate her efforts to the protection of parrots in the wild.

Sarai Anaya Valera studied biology at the UAM, Xochimilco in Mexico City. 2010 she volunteered at the Austrian parrot shelter in  Vienna (Parrot Protection Society Austria).
