In 2024 Unsafe+Sounds is celebrating its ten-year jubilee! Almost 80 international and local artists and 30 speakers can be experienced in a total of nine days, on seven stages across the city.

The festival, which was founded by composer Matthias Kranebitter and has been under the artistic direction of Shilla Strelka since 2015, is centred around challenging music from a variety of different genres, including experimental electronic and advanced contemporary club sounds, or acoustic, as well as electroacoustic music. Mena Huber from IG Clubkultur and the Fast&Nice crew is talking to the artistic director Shilla Strelka and the artist and co-curator MARAws aka Mara Waldhör about programme and perspectives.
