Why is lithium mining in Serbia so important for Europe — and why is it crucial that we know all about it? Because a small country steeped in corruption and lawlessness could become the perfect testing ground for devastating destruction: of nature, of wildlife, of people. By exploiting natural resources and destroying water sources in Serbia, contamination spreads to other Balkan countries too.

Isidora Ilić is a visual artist and independent cultural worker based in Belgrade. Together with Boško Prostran she works as the artist duo doplgenger. She is the co-founder and coordinator of the Transimage Platform for Politics of the Moving Image, through which she has developed numerous international transdisciplinary and educational projects, organized symposia, and curated programs.
