on Jan Kaplicky

Ivan Margolius

is an architect and author of many books that are related to architecture czech republic and cars.
He has visited Vienna as expert for the „homage to Jan Kaplicky / future systems“.
We talk about his personal history which is closely connected with the tragic of the second world war as well as the uprise of the totalitarian communist regime in Czechoslovakia of the 1950s.
We talk about beauty and inspiration in architecture and how his close friend Jan Kaplicky understood and used it for his unique work. We try to figure out, how the spirit could be kept and under which circumstances the projects, that Jan Kaplicky left unfinished after his sudden death could become reality.
