In Tales from the Pluriverse, we follow a simple question: how are stories, science, and everyday life woven together? In this episode, I tell a series of tales about nature—and we use them as a lens to explore why we believe what we believe, and how those beliefs shape everyday choices and political decisions. Along the way, I share what I learned from my research on environmental politics: how different stories of nature shape the thinking of decision-makers, how climate and history still leave their fingerprints on what feels “reasonable,” and how other—often ignored—ways of knowing are present too, pushing back and opening alternatives.

At the end, I’m joined by Gerald Hanninger, chairman of the Lobau Museum, for a conversation about nature and conservation from where he stands.
