Von Hristina Talkova
This podcast aims to combat the rising amount of unclarity and misinformation when it comes to environmental policy and addresses regular citizens in Austria on how to consider the effects of climate change in their day-to-day lives.
“International protection for the oceans: isn’t Austria a country without sea access? Why should it care about the protection of the global ocean?”
“Why should I care about the CO2 in Earth’s atmosphere? The United States, the world’s largest emitter of CO2, intends to pull out of climate protection agreements: why does it matter?”
The podcast is not yet affiliated with the Environmental Politics Research Group run by Prof. Alice Vadrot, but as it showcases some research conducted under its auspices the option is left to proceed so after the conclusion of the course. Additionally, the podcast features further independent research conducted by the podcast host and colleagues under the course “Science in Society” during the summer semester of 2025.
