Volunteer Stories, Do. 10.9., 16-17h
Season 2 episode 5 of Volunteer Stories centres around Spittoon — a Beijing-based arts collective that does events and programming throughout China and publishes a literary magazine and a comic book, all with the goal of bringing together Chinese and foreign writers, artists, and literary enthusiasts.
In episode 5 Lettice interviews Matthew, Spittoon’s Founder and Director, Annie, Spittoon’s Chengdu Chapter Leader, and Simon, the Editor in Chief of Spittoon’s Literary Magazine.
Episode 5 also features songs by Paths and Poetry x Music, and two poems “To the Bones” and “To the Knees” by Zuo Fei.
