Contemporary music has many sides, and increasingly blurs the boundaries between different artistic and creative roles. Slovenian-born Aleksandra Bajde is both an active singer as well as composer, performer of music theatre, and a music manager and cultural policy expert. She met Schallfeld during the production of her recent work „Self-Portraits in Imaginary Places“. In this talk she tells her personal musical journey, talks about composing, improvising and performing, why artistic collaborations matter and how European policies have an impact on every single country’s cultural life.
