Tonight we’re talking about how anger and care are related. In what ways do we connect our political struggles to better understand the oppression we live in? We talk about migration, colonialism, racism, and capitalism.

That is why it is important to start the year 2023 with those topics because only if we listen, hear, and unite can we change something. My guest tonight is Lia Kastiyo Spinósa.

Lia Kastiyo Spinósa is a Caribbean writer, editor and artist living in Vienna since 2018. Above all, Lia is a nature lover and carer, and a preacher of a mind-body-spiritual health. Migration is central to her personal history and political practice, as well as revealing the ways in which colonialism has trapped us in a hegemonic form of life. Currently, Lia coordinates and is a member of the editorial team of Migrazine. Online Magazine by Migrant Women to Everyone, a platform for the voices of the female migrant community in Austria and Europe. Lia comes from a large trajectory of activists and decolonial feminist thinkers from Latin America, such as Yuderkys Espinosa and Ochy Curiel, founders of the Latin American Group of Studies, Education and Feminist Action (GLEFAS), for which Lia has collaborated as an editor.
