Two woman voices of Indian literatur from Frankfurt bookfair 2006

This time at frankfurt-bookfair India was the guest of honour. A large number of Indian writers participated in different events and presented their works to the international audience. Women writers from almost every language representated their literature. On this occasion women on air interviewed two well known Indian writers from English and Hindi.
While talking to them we have not only come to know about their personal work but also explore the present literary scenario of India and the place of women in it, their priviledge and difficulties. Today we are having two Indian writer Namita Gokhle, an Indian English writer, and Gagan Gill, a Hindi poet, to whom we have interviewed at Frankfurt.

This programme is prepared and presented by Sarita Jenamani who has participated in Frankfurt bookfair presenting her work ‘Shards of Sky’, a poetry collection based on her immigrant experiences in Vienna.
