Her work is moved by the urgency of artistic expression as a political action. Her practice is a close alliance between artwork and activism. More than a survival strategy, her approach comes as a response to an era of radical dehumanization, a sense of displacement, and the will to connect and belong.

Nina Sandino was born on the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua but grew up on the Pacific coast of the country, where they later completed a master’s degree in architecture. In Vienna, Nina works as a choreographer, performer, and dance educator. Their work reveals a desire to unite artistic expression and political statements.
