WIENWOCHE festival opens TONIGHT, one of Vienna’s most important festivals, combining art and activism. We talk about the festival itself, the power and opportunity to hear voices from the margins, to change entrenched traditional patterns, and to celebrate differences. We also celebrate friendship!

Listen carefully: Nataša Mackuljak—artist, activist, and the executive director of WIENWOCHE!

Nataša Mackuljak, Executive Director of WIENWOCHE, has been involved in the annual festival for art and activism for many years. She is also a performer, multimedia artist, social worker, curator, and cultural producer. She is a PhD candidate at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna, with the thesis “On Historical Continuities between Anti-Fascist Women’s Action and Feminist Performance Ar”t in the Former Yugoslavia.
